Ancestry.com DNA Results (Take 2)

Yeah...I did the test again.  It's not that I didn't believe the results of the first test.  I was more interested to see how much variability there would be between the two tests. After doing some reading it was clear that each test was accurate, but that the specific percentages were estimates. However, the specific regions were exactly as my family tree indicates.

As expected, the second set of results came back similar to the first. Great Britain (England) dropped by about 10%, Scandinavia (Norway) stayed about the same, and Europe West (France and Germany) went up several percentage points.

Taking an average of the two tests and rounding to the nearest 5% resulted in: 50% Great Britain, 25% Norwegian, and 20% France/German with some small trace amounts and rounding.

I also recently ordered a more comprehensive test from the site 23andMe.com.  It gives you this ancestry information too, but also other kinds of information related to your DNA.  It will be interesting to see how that compares to this test too.
