Some Spokane Highlights

This year's trip was a little bit different from past trips since we stayed up on the South Hill. We weren't sure if or when we could go, since we were planning around Julia's cheer schedule. Waiting for a little bit, plus the general increase in prices, meant a different location this time.

We joined the South Hill YMCA for a few weeks, as well as took advantage of the new waterslide and pool nearby for the kids. We went back to Liberty Lake again this year and took the inflatable kayaks for a spin on the lake.

Matt and Julia joined us one morning for a casual walk along the Spokane River with Bailey. It's such a pretty spot to go for a walk or bike ride!

One of my favorite things about going to Spokane every summer is getting out and seeing the the area on my bike. There are so many beautiful areas to see and explore, and it's nice just to have a change of scenery.

Glenwood Hot Springs (etc)

We all had a great time together visiting the Glenwood Caverns and Amusement Park and swimming in the historic Glenwood Hot Springs.  While it's a relatively small town, Glenwood is a perfect place for a weekend getaway for the family.

The caverns were quite amazing and definitely worth visiting. The kids enjoyed the pool most of all, no surprises there!

Glenwood Canyon

What a great way to celebrate Father's Day Weekend 2022! Michelle even flew in from California to join the rest of the family in Glenwood Springs and Hotel Colorado.

For me the highlight was getting to ride a few miles up the Glenwood Canyon Trail with Dad and Mom early one morning. The canyon views were spectacular and we even saw a bald eagle. It was a really nice time spent with my parents on the bike and something that I'll remember for a long time.
