Homecoming 2024

Check out these great pictures of Julia and Miles from Homecoming!

Miles won Homecoming King for the Junior class and was presented at the football game on Friday night. Friday/Saturday morning Julia finished up making her own boutonniere and corsage and then went over to Noel's house to get ready for the big night. Prior to dinner Miles' picked Julia up and we took a picture of them with Bailey.

Dinner turned out to be at Chipotle since there was an issue with their reservation at BJ's. They stayed for the entire dance and then a group went over to Miles' house to hang out for a while afterwards. Stacey stayed up really late and went and picked Julia up about 2:30 a.m. Party animals!

Eleven Mile Canyon

Today I rode my gravel bike from the cabin to Eleven Mile Canyon, all the way up to the dam, and then back to the cabin. Mom and Dad drove down later on and took some pictures too. It was nice to have them there (and on Tarryall Road) in case something went wrong.

It was a beautiful late summer morning up the canyon. There were a lot of fly fisherman and campers up there for the long weekend.

Tarryall Road

I went to the cabin for Labor Day Weekend this year. The rest of the family had some things in town going on, so just me and the bikes drove up and met my parents for the weekend. We had a great time together, including this ride on Tarryall Road.

Bike Pictures

Just a few pictures from some of my rides this fall. It's the best time of year in Colorado.

Rampart Rager

This was a fun, local race up and down Rampart Range Road. I had thought about doing this race for the first time last year, but the weather didn't cooperate. This year I did the short course, and although there weren't many other racers, I still set a new course record!

Oslo Walking Tour

On our last day in Norway we headed into Oslo. Lots of walking. I ended up doing ten miles of walking, mainly because I wanted to head over and see Frogner Park, which was a little bit outside of downtown. It was great to see all of the various sights, including the changing of the guard at the royal palace.

For the scrapbook, here are the labels of each of the pictures in order:

Nobel Peace Center, Akershus Fortress, Oslo Opera House, a nice hotel with flags, the Royal Palace, Frogner Park, the famous Oslo Clock down by the piers, The National Theater, a downtown picture including Freia Chocolate and Eidsvolls Plass
