I was able to do two rides outside of Bergen while we were on vacation. The best way to explore an area is by bicycle. My first ride was about three hours long and followed the peninsula north of Bergen and along Byfjorden (literally translated: the city fjord). Two days later I went south of town and rode for about two hours. The route was an out and back around Kalandsvatnet, which is a nice little lake. Both were great rides!
