I received a call this morning for another interview, this time for a Financial Analyst position with Ardak Corporation. My interview is at 1 p.m. on Wednesday. I'm hoping this is "the one". It's an analyst job (obviously), in the salary range I'm seeking (with benefits), and affiliated with the DoD. You can read what they do on their website. This position is much more on the corporate finance side, and sounds like I'd be doing a lot of analysis/data gathering of external financial statements for processing and evaluation through their proprietary systems. The job advertisement self-referred to Ardak as a "local competitive intelligence firm", if that helps explain what they do.
I see this as a great way to use my Fantasy Football and I Know The Score skills to make some actual money...
