Red Hotspur
We're about a third of the way through the season and things couldn't be going any better. Spurs are undefeated in their last ten games, winning nine of them. Our only two defeats have come in the first two games of the season and to the two Manchester teams that are above us in the standings. The lone draw was against Newcastle, the team directly below us. We are currently sitting in third place with a game in hand. If we win our game in hand we'd move up to second spot above Manchester United and only four points out of first place. It's been a little over twenty years since a Tottenham team has finished in the top three. Believe it or not, even though we sit in third place, our current points per game ratio projected over an entire season has been good enough to win the league every year for the past ten. That's how great things have been going lately.Truth be told we've looked very strong and are completely deserving of our current place in the standings. Sometimes team can "flatter to deceive", winning ugly or riding their luck up the standings. Not this current Spurs side. Over the course of the last ten games, we've controlled the majority of them, leaving little doubt who the better team was and who was going to win the match. There have been a few here and there that could have gone either way, but overall we have completely dictated most of our matches.
It's a weird feeling for a Spurs fan to watch a match and expect to win. Not that I'm complaining...
