I debated making a post about the weather today, but since it's some of the coldest temperatures we've had since the mid 1990s, it's worth a mention. The high today is supposed to be -3 degrees and the low -16. The biggest story is the wind chill...it was -45 degrees in Briargate this morning! That's frostbite to exposed skin conditions measured in minutes, not hours.We still have had snow, albeit a 2 foot by 2 foot area, on our lot every day this year. In typical Colorado fashion it will be 45 degrees in 2 days and we will have forgotten all about this cold spell.
UPDATE: I've never seen a door hinge on the inside of a house ice over...I included a picture from the following morning.
